i need a cd rom to fit a ibm net vista model 6568

a mate asked fit to fit a cd rom to his machine oh a no brainer i though, ah that was my first mistake

when i got round there with a cd writer and unclipped the case the drive bay is tiny and even with some demeling the power supply is in the way to take a proper 5 1/4 driver

i done a bit of googling but cant find a drive to fit anyone got any ideas maybe a laptop drive

If the drive is too long you can get shorter optical drives which are shorter by like an inch? I can find you some if you want?

LiteOn DVD Rom Drives (which obviously play CDs too) are shorter than standard by about an inch iirc mate

the drive bay is about 3/4 of an inch high the depth of the drive shouldnt be a problem
