What graphics card on P4M890T-M2 (1.0B)

Hi folks
I am a new guy on the block. Got a problem with the above mobo. I have tried to update the inbuilt graphics driver in Linux - but only get 800x640 resolution...

I have a basic Forsa Nvidia GeForce 210 512mb DDR2 pci-express card at home, so I thought I'd try it....not good? I changed the bios settings to include the pci-express card, but on boot - it just blinks like graphics card not working?!

The strange thing is I put a live Ubuntu cd in the cdrom and rebooted....the same thing, but eventually I was logged into my Ubuntu install with the livecd showing on the desktop.

If I remove the livecd and reboot - I just get a blinking screen light and not even my Ubuntu works?!

I have never had this problem before and just wonder if I am over stepping the mark with my little graphics card...

Can anyone shed some light on this for me or even tell me what this board is supposed to support?

Hi again

Thought I'd better give you an update on my situation. I think it must have been a fluke that I got anything at all with the graphics card mentioned.

I have tried it in two other computers and nada....It is a new one, so I will return it. On a brighter note...my mate lent me an Asus EN5600topsilent/td/256mb. It is an old card an not much memory but works like a dream.

I would like some feed back on what is supported by the mobo - if anyone has that info I would be very grateful.
