    Little help required RMA OCZ

Hi guys not sure if this is the right forum area but will give it a go

am after a bit of information

Has anyone returned faulty products back to OCZ in the Netherlands before from the UK ????. im asking as I have some faulty memory which I want to return but with it being abroad I am a little cautious on sending it out to them and they just mess me around for months.

It took me 3 emails just to get them to answer 2 questions that I asked. Each time I would get what seemed like an automated email back or answers that seemed to be put in to a set format rather than ones I was asking for.

    Thanks

    Chris H

Re: Little help required RMA OCZ

Ive sent my ram twice back to RMA in netherlands turn around time is good it comes around in 5 days from taiwan if they give you new ram. However the ram i got back was faulty got my ram back from RMA today and not working

oh and the second time they arranged fedex to come pick it up for free so in 1 weeks i got my new ram which didnt work good customer service from my experience but poor product, if the problem of course is not my motherboard, may I ask the model of your ram ? and what components are using because on the forums I saw many people having problems with my motherboard and ocz ram

send and email to this guy, he helped me out a lot I think he is in America so he may reply tomorrow if you give him a lot of detail with your problem and point out you tried everything ( clearing CMOS using certain settings, trying every slot etc. ) he will probably get you an RMA Ticket asap or forward you to someone else who can help you.

Re: Little help required RMA OCZ

I have sent to the netherlands recently... never had any confirmation of receipt of the ram for about a week so I had to email them, they confirmed they recieved it, then never heard anything more (ticket wasn't updated either) for another week so another email and they responded saying it was missing a sticker so they can't rma it but they would send it back (as only 1 stick was originally faulty)
Waited another week for the ram to turn up, another email and they asked me if I wanted them to send it back (which I had already said)
Once they confirmed I wanted it back it arrived within about 2 days though. From what I've read it seems if they will rma your item it is smooth sailing but in my case where they wouldn't they kind of just forget about it

Re: Little help required RMA OCZ

    thanks for the replies

the memory that i am using is OCZ 4GB Kit (2x2GB) DDR2 1066MHz/PC2-8500 Reaper Memory HPC Edition Dual Channel

motherboard is XFX nforce 780I SLI

basically one of the questions i asked them was. Is Ebuyer considered a reseller of your products since they are not listed as one on your website. And the website states that the memory must be purchased through a reseller to warrent the lifetime warranty.

the responce was basically fill out an RMA request and send the memory in to us and we will be able to give you an answer.

    anyway

basically i am sure the memory is at fault as 1 stick when tested with memtest86 comes back clean no problems. The other stick comes back with around 33800 errors in around an hour.

Run the computer with just the 1 stick of memory and no blue screens what so ever. Swap the working stick for the bad stick and its blue screen city. The memory its self has been in the PC for around 18 months which 15 months or more the PC has been stable untill the past 2 months where blue screening become a daily occurance untill i removed the faulty stick of RAM

RMA settup OCZ seem happy to go ahead and RMA the memory so I will pack the memory up for saturday and take it down the post office and will keep you all informed of what happens

    cheers

    chris H

Re: Little help required RMA OCZ

I'm awaiting a RMA ticket for some OCZ Blade 2000MHz DDR3 6Gb kit, am worried too, as I don't want to be messed around. Plus the RAM went EOL some time ago, so I'm wondering what's going to happen, paid alot for this kit to when it came out!
