Wow those are some very different cases lol. Is watercooling a must? Just the only sort of common thread I can pick out between them all.
I recently bought a case ... although it is sitting at my dad's and I am not going to see him until xmas so can't unpack it and tell you what it is like until then but personally i think it is a bargain.
lian li a17a If you can put up with it being in silver rather than black it is a bargain I think. It is EOL hence only 65 quid. There are only 2 left now since I got mine.
pros:
-Ventilation looks good with 3 bundled fans all a decent size.
-lian li case ... so very good build quality
-full brushed alminium case for 65 quid
-did I say it was 65quid!?
-ATX
-9 drive bays so lots of room for hard drives or whatever lian li have alot of accessories so you can even stick a dual radiator in the front there if you want to do watercooling (that is my long term plan).
cons:
-top mounted psu
-limited room for gfx cards (a HD5970 most certainly won't fit!)
-If you have a rad in the front as well there be even less room for GFX cards
-It is an "old" case, but really that shouldn't put you off, some people seem to keep their cases for like 8 years if they like it. As cases don't become obsolete in the same way GFX cards and cpus do.
-could get dusty with all those holes in the front ....
I think as long as there is nothing cosmetically wrong with my case I am gonna be really chuffed with it. As I really wanted a lian li or silverstone fully alminium case but they were out of my pricepoint.
Just waiting for someone to come on here and point out a massive design flaw with it lol!
Jesus I think CCL are doing some serious mispricing with their case they have an ATCS 840 on there for 65quid that is 100quid less than it is suppose to be ahhhhhhhhhhhh
http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...c-840-kkn1-gp#
Wow, that's crazy cheap. ATCS 840 at that price is pretty much perfect, go for it if you like the case, it's huge but great for all sorts of reasons.

Not interested in watercooling at the moment, too expensive
Lian Li PC-A17
I second c.ruel's advice with regards to the Lian Li...
I have the Lian Li PC-A17
It is beautiful, minimalistic, with very very effective fans which run 100% quiet and the front has a very genius dust-minimizing method...

All of these people at ebuyer want it bad http://forums.ebuyer.com/showthread....Lian-Li-PC-A17
Here is a video of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wClW8AePfWc
But I can't find it anywhere for sale... so I can't link you where to buy it!
But look hard and get it as soon as you see it, it is really really good, so much space inside for extra fans and everything.
I did have a problem with my front panel audio though, but I think that was just a one-off, hopefully yours will be fine, if it isn't then the solution is to not connect any of the wires from the front panel except for the audio (if you intend to use the audio jacks for headphones like me), otherwise you get interference from the motherboard, you can hear the cpu/gpu through it, but disconnecting the USB ports worked for me.
Best of luck. Seriously get the Lian Li
Edit: here is a retailer, but I think it's in America http://www.coolerguys.com/llpca17.html

With regards to the fitting of GPU's and top mounted PSU...
1) I have a GTX285 (quite large, I don't know how big the newer line of cards are... but mine requires 2x power connections from the PSU...
2) I have a Q6600 overclocked at 3.6ghz and it idles between 23-36... The Power Supply doesn't affect the temperature enough to matter in my humble opinion...
I'm using the Corsair HX520W PSU and it powers everything without much heat, everything fit well... The card does take up a lot of space it seems but then I don't know what case wouldn't because this PC-A17 is a fullsized tower, it's quite large...
Perhaps if you wanted to run Two or Three GPU's then this might not be the best case... To be honest I can't comment on that part, I can just tell you that with my single GTX285 and system specs that this is perfect for me and I have a lot of empty space in the bottom of the case where I could add extra fans very easily.

I'm looking for a case that will be future proof.
Lian Li PC-A17
I intend to use this case for my next upgrades (where I'll replace everything)
I've had it for nearly two years, I've cleaned it several times, there is never much dust inside of it, easy to clean... Very quiet, very cold, and very stylish, with a lot of room inside for the enthusiast![]()
If the gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 motherboard and XFX 650w Core Edition PSU fits in this case this could be an contender
I'm a big fan of Lian Li for their stylish yet affordable aluminium cases.
Irrespective of what they say the aluminium just makes it look nicer and has no discernible impact on chipset or CPU temps (compared to a steel case).
They are, however, very well designed. I have a couple of their cases - PC-7FNB and PC-A06B, latter of which I got for the bargain price of £35

Yes the whole aluminium case lowers your temps is a bit of a myth, there have been a couple of case where the case is connected to hard ware to act as a heatsink but it does require it to be connected physically
The main things aluminium has going for it over steel, is reduced weight and finish, brushed anodized aluminium has a sheen to it that you just cannot get with paint/powder coating.

Sorry photobucket links broken
just had a look at the reviews for the 3 cases mentioned and there is quite a few cons than pros for them.
Is there such a thing as a perfect case?
