CCL have some real bargains on cases

Decided to do a seperate thread for this as I posted them on another but I think maybe more people might want to know about this with xmas coming up.

Coolermaster 840 ATCS 65quid (100 pounds off RRP)

Lian li a17a also 65 quid

Now the lian li I can sort of understand because it is out of production but the coolermaster I don't get. It is still being made and on scan it is like 165 quid. What are CCL doing!? Has Christmas come early lol?

Looks like CCL have cottoned on to this and pulled the Coolermaster deal.

Sometime you can get very cheap offers like this, ether open box or stock clearance often being sold close to trade cost.

Looks like the 830 was a mistake and quickly fixed

I got a deal on a tent like this. Under no legal obligation to honour the web advertised price, they did so. Although no expert on the law in this regard, when you add the product to your basket and checkout, I believe at the checkout you are making the company an offer to buy at the advertised price. If they have a bot that accepts and confirms the order, I wonder if that constitutes legal acceptance of your offer at that point creating a legally binding contract for the sale. I'm sure this have been covered to death elsewhere anyway.

Same as shops if I remember correctly they are not legally obligated to sell at a marked price.
once you're out of the shop/have the goods delivered then they are stuffed.
However most places will honer this sort of thing, esp if they catch it quick enough and don't have too many orders.
However if it goes on to some of the "bargin" websites and they get bomb barded with hundreds of orders then an e-tailer will often just do a blanket cancelation.

Re: CCL have some real bargains on cases

Basically it depends on how many order any mis-prices. If it ends up in Hexus.bargains or HDUK, you're stuffed. If you're one of only a dozen to order at the mis-price, then you've a good chance of being in luck.

You can't expect a company to honour mis-prices if hundreds order them though. They're (generally) not stupid and cover themselves from such errors. Using the example above, you can't expect them to accidentally knock £100 off of a £160 case and honour 100 orders at the misprice. That's a loss of ~£10,000, which is big chunk of money for any etailer, especially for those who aren't Amazon/Play/etc. While it would be good publicity, it may also be suicide. 10 orders at the misprice would be a loss of £1,000, which may be easier to deal with as a goodwill gesture, though rather painful.

We're often too quick to knock cancelled orders at misprices on places like Hexus.bargains and often with justification. We don't always think of the company in question if they've made an honest mistake (rather than those just trying to generate extra traffic and orders).

Nah I missed the deal. I don't actually need another case but at that price it was irresistible.
