    Speccing a PC.

    Hello!
I'm having a bit of difficulty getting to grips with computer hardware again. It's been a while since I've built or upgraded any PC, and now, it seems to me, to be just a scrambled mess of acronyms and numbers. I have no idea what's good and what;s not.

Basically, I have a budget of around £650 - £700, to build a PC and monitor which will run the latest games at a decent FPS and still serve me well when it comes to basic browsing, watching movies, listening to music, uni work etc.
Is there anyone willing to help me out a little, offer some suggestions on what to buy, perhaps even specc my entire PC? I'd be very grateful.
    Thanks.

The total comes to around £728 to £738.

If you want to drop the cost of the build under £700 I would get one of the following graphics cards instead:

    Thanks man.
I literally followed your spec like the bible and bought all your reccomendations. Except Windows 7, turns out the university give me that for free, excellent.

    Thanks again
