    PSU Advice

So basically I just fixed my very old rig (Broken Ram slot and two broken ram sticks) - now down from to 512mb
I have been slowly gathering parts for a new build and decided to move the parts into the InWin Dragon Slayer case.

The problem is the old generic PSU (I didn't buy this dont worry) has really short cables which makes cable management a huge hassle + pretty much impossible. (so does IDE)

I have a Huntkey X7 900w ready for my new build just sitting around.

Would it be more efficient to put that in than the current 350w generic jobbie (yuck)

I'm guessing yes, but just checking.

    Thanks

Depends what you're planning to put in it.

generally speaking I don't trust generic psu's as far as I can throw an expensive good branded one (because expensive good brand psu's are far heavier than cheap generic ones)
I'm not sure I'd trust that Huntkey any better, Huntkey psu's range from Junk to reasonable but have never yet got above reasonable in performance and actual ability to put out the amps and volts they claim to be able to.

    Re: PSU Advice

The Huntkey has been good for me in my tests - but obviously i dont have a big PSU tester

I'll leave it for now and just get the last parts of my new build ASAP. Just need mobo, CPU and graphics card now
