    Scanner, ethernet port?

We're looking for a new scanner... we currently have a HP all in one printer/scanner/copier which is connected to an ethernet port, meaning multiple people can scan documents, as opposed to it being connected via usb to one PC.

Do simple flatbed scanners exist with ethernet ports?! - This is only for document scanning, so nothing fancy, just needs to be Windows7 compatible.

My suspicions are that if such a thing does exist (I'm told it does) it would be very expensive...

    Thoughts anyone?!

Document scanners exist, they however look a bit like a fax machine so you can put an entire document into it in a single go as a result they they can be quite expensive, I see you already have a multifunction printer... (which I would have suggested). A network connect scanner needs storage and and a processor, this is what is adding to the price, a flat bed on a usb does not need to do any processing itself.

Thanks Oolon, I've just found an Epson one that's about £400 that looks like it could fit the bill...
