New System, need help configuring for correct speeds please

Hi i have just upgraded from my work computer from a P4 2.8 to an i3.

    Asus P7H55-M Board HERE
    I3 540 chip
    Kingston 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz HyperX Blu Memory Kit CL9 1.65V HERE

I would like to set the board up to run this RAM at 1600. this is my first venture in to the i3 world but i am familiar with the principles of overclocking and i know my way around a bios.

Could anyone offer any advice on what the memory should be reading in cpuz to be set to 1600?
    I am the gadget man!

CPUz will probably show 800mhz if you want to run at 1600 SDR equivalent speed.

I don't know the Asus BIOS, but usually you need to go into the advanced or CPU or memory tweaker type page, look for memory multiplier and change it from auto or normal to 12x. Then you need to go into the advanced memory timings page and set the memory timings to match those specified for the ram 9-9-9-27 (CAS or CL - tRCD - tRP - tRAS). Leave any other settings to auto. Finally you need to go to the memory voltage section and set it to 1.65v
