To build an itx or atx

Ok firstly its for my bedroom so basically to watch dramas/movies, listen music/audiobooks, play the odd game and to browse the web before I go to bed.

It will be connected to a dell 24in hd monitor with the soundbar, logitech Wireless mouse (mx), corded keyboard.

    The budget £250-£350 max

Was thinking of getting a tv card with dual sat but might not be able to get it with my budget.

Going the itx route as low power use, silent, small case could put it on the shelf or even on the back of monitor. But I could not really upgrade the sound/graphics or add a tv card. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Going atx route to add the tv card and other cards, drawback is bigger case more power use, noisy.

Would prefer built in wireless connection and usb socket to add the external hd's. I'm thinking of putting a solid state

Ok not too sure on case or whether to have spu seperate from motherboard.

    Any recommendations and advice welcome.

Oh will be running ubuntu or I have a copy of win 7 home edition lying about somewhere.

With an ITX build you will be limited to a single PCI-E or PCI slot usually. If you can stick with the on-board graphics then you can add a tuner card or if you want a better graphics card you will need to use a USB tuner.

I would suggest the following build:

Lian Li PC-Q07B Mini ITX Case ~ £42

Corsair CX 400W ATX2.2 Power Supply ~ £35 including postage

You can get cashback from TopCashBack and Quidco on Novatech purchases.

    ZOTAC H55-ITX WiFi ~ £93

    Intel Core i3 540 ~ £82

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/185939

    4GB 1600MHZ DDR3 ~ £49

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/234975

    Sasmung F3 1TB ~ £41

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/173804

    Samsung SH-S223 ~ £12

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/145450

The total comes to around £342. You will need to add either a better graphics card or a TV tuner card. The motherboard has wireless and a single PCI-E 2.0 16X slot. The CPU also has an IGP too.
