    Lian Li Contact Details

    Hi Folks,

I bought a Lian Li case from CCL a while back, and the rear exhaust fan that came with has recently broken off its spindle!

I contacted CCL who told me to contact Lian Li, but could give no contact details, so were next to useless. I went on the Lian Li site and used their web form and requested a new fan,but have heard nothing back other than the automated reply. It has been 10 days or so.

Does anyone have a firm contact details for them, or does anyone know who the UK distributors are, and whether they'd be able to help?

    Any advice much appreciated.

    Cheers.

    Re: Lian Li Contact Details

YI'm assuming it out of warranty as else CLL are obliged to deal with it.
You can contact Lian Li via their website though I don't know how responsive they'll be

    http://www.lian-li.com/v2/en/contact_us/contact_us.php

Depends what you want to achieve, I imagine that it would be simple to replace with an after-market fan or is it more complicated than that?

Oops, just seen you've used the form. Why does it have to be a Lian Li fan? I don't think they make them anyway, they re-badge other fans.

    Re: Lian Li Contact Details

I'll have to check the date i bought it and warranty info, it was less than 12 months ago though.

It has to be a Lian Li fan purely on principle. I have already replaced it with another, but i would rather have the fans that i paid for with the case!

From personal experience Lian li are difficult to get through to, i wish you all the best. Good products when they work, but bad customer service imho.

If its within warranty, CCL are legally obliged to sort it out. Badger them about it.

Indeed they are - BUT, you may find that sorting it out involves shipping the whole case back to them (at your expense) and then maybe getting a new (or repaired) case back. The fan was shipped as an integral part of the case - so the case is the replacement item.

(I had a similar occurrance with a different E-tailer - a plug top PSU failed for an external drive caddy. I had to remove the disk and send the whole lot back for a unit replacement - I couldn't just have a new PSU)

Of course they might just accept your claim and replace the fan, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Try talking to their CS support.

But I suspect that it probably be better in terms of time and hassle to just replace the fan yourself.

    Good luck.

    Re: Lian Li Contact Details

    Update:

CCL have stated that they are not prepared to help in any way with this matter, and like some have suggested above, all i can do is send the whole case to them and wait two months for another one to be sent back to me. Apparently the fan is an accessory and not covered by the same warranty as the case.

I'm now in contact with the UK Lian Li Distributor on the hope of finding a resolution. Lian Li still have not replied to my support request made on the 30th Oct. Great cases, crap customer service!

Let this be a lesson to anyone else purchasing a case from CCL!
