Best 1080p Monitor for around £150?
Well I've managed to build up my gaming rig piece by piece and the last part of the puzzle is to replace my crappy old Xerox monitor so I was hoping for some suggestions from your good selves?
I've looked at lots of reviews but there is a hell of a lot of choice so I don't know if its easier to ask which models/brands to avoid. :undecided
Overclockers has this:

or on Amazon (a little over budget):
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-P245...0171971&sr=1-1
I would lean towards the Samsung as its a brand I'm familiar with, having never owned an Ilyama product. Any other suggestions/thoughts would be appreciated, thanks.

Ilyama is generally good :)
HannsG are often very good for budget monitors.
However you'll find it's far less down to brand and more down to model, quite often some of the bigger brands who make their name with high end products but the lower end stuff is often over priced for what it is. (Dell monitors are a good example here, their top range ones are great but their budget offerings are nothing special but often more than monitors which are better)

Thanks Pob I'll take a look at some HannsG ones as I hadn't considered them.
Also the Ilyama is cheaper than the Samsung.

Ilyama's are generally very good; I personally wouldn't risk ordering from OCUK though - I'd pay the extra at Scan, knowing I'd get free postage and decent service!

Yeah I wouldn't order from them - i just got an email from them with this offer. I haven't used them so can't judge but I have heard lots of horror stories. When you add postage they are actually more expensive than Scan anyway.
Re: Best 1080p Monitor for around £150?
A long time back OcUK totally messed me around with an RMA, an OcUK branded ati 9700pro, a stock card direct from ati, which cooked it's own memory.
The messing around was massive, left me for two months using a backup geforece2 MX 32mb (a massive step down from the 9700pro)
Since that incedent I've never gone back to them, been tempted a couple of time but I'm still holding out.
They are good, as long as nothing goes wrong, and annoyingly they do have a good range of stuff often uncommon or hard to find items.
These day's it Scan, specialtech, ebuyer and now and again novatech who get my money.

£160 with Scan/Hexus free delivery slightly over budget but a good screen.
Re: Best 1080p Monitor for around £150?
Yeah but what's the dead pixel policy on these? I would only buy a monitor if it was considered defective even with one dead pixel.

What would people suggest for a 22" LED ?

Just need to see if I can afford this before xmas as I'm sure my selfish relatives will be expecting presents! ;)
Re: Best 1080p Monitor for around £150?
got to say I've always been tempted by the hannsg 24.6" one that scan frequently has on today only for ~£125. Its budget but its a lot of screen for the money and I've had no problems with the 23" digimate (a year old) I bought for £105 but its now frequently on today only for under £100.
I'd say it depends if you want to spend the full £150 or if thats just a budget you set as a max. Personally I dont think you can complain at a 1080p 23" monitor for under £100.

Isn't there an LED Benq MVA panel knocking around for that price.
