Ok, I'm after some new ram, 2x 512MB of pc4000, which is damned expensive in the Uk atm so I thought I'd check US prices. A quick check @ newegg - don't know why I had a look at them but they were alot cheaper than the UK.
Geil Ultra Series Dual Channel 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-4000 - Retail $278 (approx £158 - according to xe.com)
OCZ Performance Series Dual Channel Kit 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-4200- Retail $286 (approx. £163)
Which one of those two is better? personally I'm leaning towards the Geil - it's cas2.5 and the OCZ is cas3, so the Geil would probably do the same speed as the OCZ @ cas3 ..... I don't think theres much in it tbh.
Is there anywhere else I should check or are newegg about the cheapest/best ?
Oh and they'll be sent to my sister (who lives over there) for her to forward on to me as a gift
