PSU went pop time for upgraded system!

My current 'door stop' that popped tonight consists of:

Antec 900
ZALMAN ZM600-HP ATX
Intel Q6600 G0
Scythe S-FLEX 120mm Fan 1600
Abit IP35 Pro
Asus 8800GTS 512mb
4GB DDR2 PC2-6400 800 MHz / Reaper HPC Edition

I turned it on tonight and the damn thing went bang and made the main house fuse go too!!

I can't sit through another night or watching the Mrs's tv line up so I need to order some new kit asap..

Thinking of keeping the Antec 900 and GPU, I will presume the rest is dead and will order:

Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz (Lynnfield) (Socket LGA1156)
Asus P7P55D-E LX Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
G.Skill RipJaw 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C7 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
Antec TruePower New Modular 650W Power Supply
Akasa AK-CCX-4002HP Venom CPU Cooler
That will come to £425

Is that a good choice and all compatible, I've been out of touch with what's hot and what's not since buying my last kit in 2007ish.

Ideas would be appreciated

Probally worth seeing what survived as you could then sell the rest to put towards your new bits.

Q6600 to i5 760 wouldn't be an upgrade I wouldn't have thought more of a sidegrade. As such personally I would buy a really decent new psu with a higher specification than your previous one (not that it is awful but so as not to repeat history). As others have said see what has survived ... if it is everything, hold on until janurary for sandy bridge, if not then try to stretch to a i7 950 to get a true upgrade.

Keep hard drive, GFX etc from current build.

There is a bundle on the i7+the memory on today but for some reason the 950 is cheaper on the regular pages rather than the today only ... obviously a mistake. So buy it on the main site! Hopefully means the 950 will stay a shade under £200 now.

I carnt find any reviews of the new corsair PSU so I would look at others. If your spending £80 on the power supply the Seasonic M12II-620 620W looks resonable. Im sure theres other around who can help more on power supplys than me.

The Antec psu you listed is good, I'd also look at the new antec High Current Gamer series.

The new Corsair GX series is still an unknown quantity, however the lack of long warraty, lack of japanese caps, 40c testing not 50c and not being sent out for review, all point to lower quality.
it will still be reasonable just not as good as the VX/TX/HW/AX ranges
