    Exclamation urgent help needed

Well 2 days ago my pc was fully built, windows 7 ultimate installed, running fine, except for a few problems with irq being equal or something, but i removed a stick of ram and installed the 32 bit version,.

Working great for a few hours then the screen goes black but the pc still runs with no response from power button, turn off at power supply etc.
Turn it on, ge tthe usual start windows normally screen, works fine for another few hours. Then i think it could be a graphics card fault so i take out my HD 5770 and put it back in again, i also removed the audio cable from my motherbord and put it on again.

Now when i turn my pc on it stays on CPU power phase 1 and all the parts move, i.e. fans, cpu fan graphics card fan.

So, there is 3 problems i think?

No.1 The psu is not strong enough or not good enough brand its a **** artic cooler 500 usinf a 4 (well theres only 3 pins in a 4 pin casing) pin molex pci 6 pin adapter , (buing a corsair 500 w soon though

No.2 I short circuited the motherboard when moving my parts around

No.3 Static electricity caused the graphics card to break (doubt it though as tested another radeon x series graphics card and still have the same problem,
but then this says to me that the psu shoudl be powerful enough for my old graphics card.

Really s****n myself here after having spend around 450 on this baby, only used it for a day and played 10 mins of the pes demo.

Ps. I have done no overclocking at all.

    Thanks
    Any help appreciaited

    No.2

    Re: urgent help needed

What are u using (motherboard, cpu, ram) etc.

Having had a lot of problems with ram myself , have u tried running memtest because from what i understand u had one module that is faulty, apparently ram witch is faulty can cause all sorts of problems... The power supply bit im not sure about, if your psu is the one i stated below then it looks like a decent psu, but ive read on ppl with psu problems and that can lead to all sorts of problems

and is your power supply this :
Arctic Cooling Fusion 550R 500W PSU

Hmm i think it might be your psu you might want to check this link for more information on how important a psu is

    http://www.techsupportforum.com/hard...selection.html

sorry if its against the rules posting links to other forums

or maybe it is just defective ram I really recommend you run memtest

    Re: urgent help needed

So there is no screen activity , you cannot get into the bios or do anything. Are there any beeps ? Usually it means that no ram is detected, make sure the ram is properly seated

at the moment I have the same problem no ram is detected and theres nothing on the screen it remains blank, but tbh i think your ram might just be faulty or the psu or maybe even both

    Re: urgent help needed

    Hello,
I'm having nearly same problem with you, i wanted to ask you some questions

I've bought few hardware pieces, these are
    MSI 870A G54
    Amd Athlon II x3 445
    Kingston 2x2 gb DDR3 1333 mhz ram
    (like tony's)
And High Power 450 watt active PFC power supply

I've put all the components together, add a Power Color HD 4730 (which requires 2x 6pin PCI-E power cable, i was using this card before at another pc)
And started computer, fans are started, hard disk started. But no screen input, not even a pixel or anything. Just saying no signal.
-I've tried another monitor cable, nothing changed.
-I've tried to put out dvd rom and hard disk power and sata cables.

Then i realized there is a 8 pin CPU power unit with a plastic on 4 pins. I was put a 4 pin power cable to it, and didn't removed that plastic.
    http://ermanerol.com/problems/8pin.JPG

So i decided to put out that plastic and put a 8pin CPU power cable to it (Motherboards Manual says that too)

I've this power supply on my other computer
    http://www.xilence.net/index.php?id=...howUid]=240827
which has a 4+4 pin like in this picture
    http://ermanerol.com/problems/4+4pin.jpg
I put this 4+4 pin to this CPU power slot in motherboard, but again nothing changed.

There is "No connection" writing on monitor, and when i try on another monitor, monitors power light goes to orange (which means no connection)

So what should i do ?
-I've tried 2 different power supplys with, puting 4+4 pin to CPU slot and tried only 4pin cable to motherboard.
-I've tried 3 different graphic cards. One of them doesn't requires any 6 pin PCI-E power cable.
-I've tried to put out RAM's, Hard disk and DVD Rom.

Only the thing is i cannot try is try with different RAM's and CPU's
    PS:No beeps from bios btw

@tony_dudz : Did you put in only 4pin or put in 4+4 pin to this slot ?
    http://ermanerol.com/problems/8pin.JPG

Thanks for your advices i'll try different things tomorrow.
Any ideas that does no connection problem and makes Fans and Hard drive starts and works ?

    Re: urgent help needed

So i've bought a new speaker and plugged on motherboard. And put motherboard out of case, and put every connectin out other than, CPU and CPU fan.
    http://ermanerol.com/problems/mb0.jpg

    So here is the result
    http://ermanerol.com/problems/mb1.jpg
No beeps on speaker, checked speaker's +/-

This means problem is on the motherboard or CPU ? (i've tried psu on another computer, it's working fine.)
