I was being very sarcastic, in case anyone didnt know!!! Fondie has some decent recommendations. I'd go with the Intel way except get a 2.6 800FSB processor for overclocking.

oh, and as i'm doing some video editing myself now, i can say, don't skimp on hard drive space! especially as i've got ~50hours worth of home movies to edit and burn onto DVDs! they sure do fill up fast! and lots of RAM is important too!
