Quiet SFF with Prescott support? Asking too much?!!

I'm looking to build an SFF to feed the TV in the living with video streamed over 54g from an upstairs PC.

However as it'd be a shame to waste a decent PC I'd want it on 24x7 running SETI@home and that's why I'd want to shove a spare 2.8 Prescott in it that I have (s@h loves the 1Mb cache). Sould be able to undervolt it at stock and it'd still do better than a clocked Northwood.

So - is this achievable?

Main problem is that I don't know which SFFs support the Prescott. Only one I know of is the Shuttle SB75G2. Anyone know of any others?

Was also thinking of using a GlobalWin SilentStream watercooling setup in "advanced mode" with the rad on the outside and a quieter fan.

GFX doesn't need to be fancy so I can get a fanless card or a monster heatsink.

Any suggestions welcome.

ZEN, SB61G2v3, SB75G2 all support prescott

Try the zen first, it has pretty sweet onboard graphics as well as TV out.

I didn't realize the Zen would cope with a Prescott in it - that must be taking it to the limit!

Any ideas about the Soltek EQ3401 or the Aopen XC Cube? Can't find CPU support info on their websites!

Somehow its the coolest room in the house all year round so shouldn't be a problem

It's an issue in my "office", with 3 OC'd P4s (just the one Prescott mind you) and with the afternoon sun it's one helluva sauna in the summer.

The Zen is a little less than the SB75G2 so might be trying one out if I can't get any info on others.

I have a SB65G2 with a 2.8e Prescott in now, in fact im typing this message using it.

What's the noise level like then? Does it have a fan on the NB?

The noise level in mine?

My shuttle has a papst 34CFM fan in set to Mid in the BIOS, it also has a 250W PSU. In fact the noisiest thing in it is the Asus Radeon 9600XT

There's no fan on the northbridge on mine either.

The only downside to Prescott in a shuttle is the massive amount of heat they generate under load. My shuttle runs approx 59C CPU, 43C Case and 69C PWM (Pulse Width Modulator), but it never crashes. Idle its 42C, 36C, 48C

Besides its been proven recently that Northwood is better even upto 4Ghz so theres no reason to get a Prescott at the moment.

Got an SB75G2, it supports Prescott with a BIOS update, even though on the Shuttle site it says must have BOM version 14. Mine seems to work with BOM 11. As for quiet, the PSU fan makes a bee type noise ... its quieter than what I used to have!
