The two Seasonics on today only are worth a shout, i know you said £50 max but the 620W Seasonic can be had for £58 and a 430W one for £47, although its only 430W it can provide over 400W on the 12v rails.
what do you think is the best out of these 3? Value and Quality?

From a £ per performance point of view, the 620W Seasonic. Decent reputation, build and efficiency and plenty of wattage headroom for most people - you could probably squeeze two 460's in SLI out of it along with a high performance CPU set-up.
Unfortunately novatech has sold out of the cx400w so they are now next to impossible to get hold of.
:(
Have a look at the Antec High current gamer 520w http://www.scan.co.uk/products/520w-...ps12v-v291-psu
This is basically a rebranded seasonic S12II bronze
Or the Silverstone Strider SST-ST50F-ES 500w http://www.scan.co.uk/products/500w-...-12v-120mm-fan
The OCZ modstream 500w is a decent unit and probably the lowest cost modular psu I'd consider.
the new corsair CX range and ok but not great like the original 400w one was, quite a few of us have been put off because they are not as good as the 400w one was, not just the amp's but also the general quality and the warranty as below that of the original.
Oh and the 500w one is pointless as the extra watts are on the 3.3v and 5v the 12v is the same and it's the 12v that the key in any gaming pc.
thanks guys, Pob, what dos modular mean exactly? any advantages?
What kalniel said, basically the leads are detachable it can make cable management much more easy, it will depend on what leads you need, on most modular psu's the 24pin and 4/8pin motherboard leads are still attached, although some have them detachable as well, some of the antec units also have 1x pci-e lead and 1x 3 plug sata lead also hard wired and non-detachable as well.
The people with the best an neatest cable management use modular psu's as it's far easier to make up custom length cables for a modular psu than a non-modular psu.
However modular psu's do tend to cost a bit more, a good example here is to compare the Seasonic S12II (non-modular) and M12II (modular) the only real difference between them is that the M series is modular
