    Best Laptop for under £1000

I want to get a well balanced laptop that can handle itself when it comes to gaming but won't drain my battery when I'm not I saw that Nvidia Optimus seems to be exactly what I want. Also I don't want to to be a brick.

    So:

    - Lightweight
    - Can play games
    - Won't drain my battery when it's not.

Any suggestions or December Buyer's Guides?

    Thanks in advance.
