ASUS Maximus IV Extreme in Raven 2 case

I'm considering (only considering!) an ASUS Maximus IV Extreme in a Raven 2 case. Everyone, including ASUS, is describing the Maximus IV Extreme as "extended ATX" but it seems to fall somewhere between ATX and eATX.

ATX is 305mm x 244mm, eATX is 305mm x 330mm. The Maximus IV Extreme is 305mm x 269mm and should fit in the Raven 2 - just - and probably quite a few others as well.

    Am I overlooking something?

Re: ASUS Maximus IV Extreme in Raven 2 case

The Maximus IV is stretched to allow for more to fit on the PCB without it needing an extra slot on a case to accomodate the MB. From what I can tell the raven should give enough height to allow for the MB's extended length.

EATX is wider not taller, as DWhitley put it's not a true EATX but wider than standard ATX.

Yes it will fit in the Raven 2, while the raven2 isn't full EATX capable the maximum motherboard size it can take is 305mm x 280mm

I did mean it was wider not taller, I was talking in terms of how the raven has the MB orientated.
