    too full of cold and man flu to labout the point.

    Pc to the left <-

    not been fiddled with more months. Rock solid... got 3 minutes into CoD5 game.. pc crash.. (never happens) black screen, attempt's to reboot itself... I whip it into BIOS... it freezes on second page of bios.

    have to reboot it... power off..power on....

    4 attempts.. allfans whirling, but no beeps. Normally get a beep.

    switch the 275 for a spare low grader... nothing...

    power down, and off... leave for 5..... try to find bios manual online... reboot in mean time.. POST>......into BIOS.

    drop multiplier down to AUTO from 11was overclocked from 2.67 to 2.9 for last 9 months.... save bios.... reboot.

    nowt.

    change graphics over again in case... nowt.

    Simple question.... is my trusty quad dead dya think? Cos when i get no beeps from mobo, i tend to feel mobo or cpu... don't you?

    PSU tester says all green light lit.. except -5v which I don't think lights anyway?

    experience = none explainable weird stuff that occurs to only Zak

    clear cmos... leave... walk away for 1 hour

    restart... bingo re set bios, play perfectly for 20 minutes

    on it now....

    i just don't understand PC's.... i really don't

    If it happens again, I'd go with PSU too. The normal PSU tester doesn't stress it in the slightest, and the time when the PSU is under the most stress is when posting, though I guess if you swapped the graphics card for an ickle one, then that may alleviate some of that stress.

    It won't be the CPU - they tend to either work or not work these days.

    If it's not the PSU, I'd go for motherboard.

    PSU/memory/cpu/motherboard could all be giving you grief to be honest, but I agree - start by checking out the PSU.

    It could be worse...

    I was sent away to work in Peru, got ill and ended up in Hospital for 4 days (bad food in Peru provided by the company). My company deducted 4 days pay from me!
