Plus they are massively biased towards Intel/Nvida. I'm not saying the chips aren't great or anything, but I wouldn't rely on CPC/Bit-tech to tell me that.

The IGP found in the Core i5 CPUs is capable of beating an HD5450!! Looks like AMD needs to get LLano out quick!

It looks like the Core i3 is very limited for overclocking.
The Core i5 2400 can be overclocked a but due to the extra Turbo multipliers but the Core i3 has totally locked multipliers. So basically you are paying Intel at least £140 if you want to overclock. Hopefully,Intel will launch a K series Core i3 CPU.

That's a major shift, although that fan looks very carp.

Intel have historically always charged lots for unlocked multipliers if the K series chips are just ~£10 more they'll be good, but if they are ~£50 then that's another matter.
Interesting that now FSB changing will be a no go so we're basically down to bumping the multiplier.
makes OC both easier and more limiting at the same time.
personally I'm going to wait a while yet, see if intel has sent out cherry picked cpu's for early reviews.
The Core i5 2400 is replacing the Core i5 760 at a similar price-point IIRC.
OTH, it does have a few extra multipliers due to Turbo meaning it can be overclocked a relatively small amount.
Motherboard pricing is also going to be another factor. The cheapest socket 1156 motherboards were around £65 to £75 for a very long time which was not that cheap TBH and hopefully the cheapest socket 1155 motherboards will launch at under £60.
The Intel tower heatsink was first seen with the i7 980X, review here (SPCR).
Also sounds like only the p67 motherboard can overclock but cannot use the onchip gpu, the H series can use the onchip gpu but will not have any multiplier options, so it's the automatic speed boost from turbo boost only.
I think we're going to have to wait for this to actually come out before we get a full picture.

Wait so what your saying is that with the correct motherboard you can disable the igp and then fsb crank?

No because it's a single clock that's running everything and most probably the SATA or pci-e controller is the issue
