So i've been warming up to building a new system for several months now..since i started my new job in october in fact.
The time has finally come and tomorrow at 1:30pm i'm on my way to go pick it up..but there's a snafu..
Originally i was going with core i5 760 and gigabyte UD4, but they were out of stock..so i thought i'd pony up the extra £30 and go 2500K and asus pro as i was a cat's whisker away from getting the PC yesterday.
But now the 760 and mobo are back in stock, so it's completely my choice and i'm easily swayed by opinion...except everytime i read a 'for' opinion an 'against' is right next to it!
Do I stick with the 760 with it's ease of overclocking, cheaper price and established quality ?
Or do I go with the 2500K with it's still unsure OC ability, but better stats and slightly more future proof ?
A few notes..this rig is pretty much purely for gaming..I'm not a benchmarker I just want to be able to max out games and do whatever (dual 460s and SSDs will take care of that) for the next couple of years
