    Psu with long cables

I've got a cheapo 850w psu in my case and its not brilliant but the main problem is cable length i have a bitfenix colossus case and asus m4n98gtd motherboard so my power supply is at the bottom of my case and my 8 pin connector is a long way away from it my cable only just reaches. I got the 850w a while back for running sli but have no intention of doing so now.
So does anyone know of psu's that come with longer cables am looking for something around 650w-750w my system spc is to the right and up to date.

So far all i have seen is a xfx 750w pro edition that was on scans today only at the weekend for £65.
also looked at corsair tx650w For £66 does anone have any experience with this power supply

Any other suggestions budget is £75 absolute maximum £65 ideally.

    Re: Psu with long cables

Ive just bought the Antec Truepower 650w and i have it in a 690 cm II case and it reaches around the back with plenty of length to spare. I bought it after many recommendations of it being a good power supply.

I dont suppose you'd be willing to take a tape measure to the 8 pin cable for me Doesn't need to 100% accurate but a ballpark length is good for me.

    Would be hugely grateful

    Re: Psu with long cables

You can just buy extension cables for the CPU 4/8 pins and ATX 24 pin cables and save having to buy a new PSU....

at £7 it's got to be worth a consideration....

    Re: Psu with long cables

I've got an Enermax PSU (650, IIRC) in an Antec 1200, which is pretty large (the case I mean, not the PSU). I've routed most of the cables behind the motherboard tray and then back out where I want them, for tidiness, and with one exception, they were all long enough. And for that exception, a cable extender cost me about £1.50 in PC World.

Sadly, measuring isn't practical because the cables are routed all over the place, in and out of the main compartment, and all cable-tied in place.

It was a consideration but i think my psu is overkill for my needs wanna downgrade the power as its noisy and not particularly efficient. Oh yeah and its a real cheap one so it has more ripple than an ice cream factory!

EDIT: Scan have got stock back in of the corsair tx650w so got that as its 86% efficient and the corsair website says extra long cables for full tower cases.

Cheers for all your help guys
