Undervolting 1055t

How do i go about doing this ? What settings need changing in the bios. I have never overlclocked so please help

You should be able to do this via mobo overclocking software in windows. If you go via bios you may need to reset it and it could get annoying. Gigabyte has very functional software which I like and I imagine Assooose does the same! You can try with your ram too! I tried AOD but it was a bit guff.
Lower voltage; you should be at about 1.35V to start with. I would drop straight to 1.25 (mine can do this and its a C2). Run prime for a bit. Stop prime. Reload prime and run it (If I leave it running I can get really low voltages ca 1.1 and then my system just gives up when I do stop it). Then work your way down in 0.025V increments Or smallest you can do. If you have any desktop games or web surfing to do it should add to the stress test.

I suppose you can go the other way from bottom up. After finding absolute minimum It may be worth putting it a notch up again just to be safe; I wouldn't but hey.....

You can try IBT as a stress tool too.

EDIT:Yours is TurboV evo. Temps are okay on your rig? if you're not sure then monitor them to be safe.

Temps are not bad but i dont like them, its bad because its now under my desk because my mum keeps screwing at me. Im gona make some holes on my desk. I have a h50 and at the moment its 43 degrees out side the case that was 43 degrees on load its the 95w version so that helps, do you think I should flip my fans on the h50 around so they exhaust instead of intake because my front case fans can intake cold air. I think what has happened because it under my desk the intake from the back is getting hot air which is exhausted from the top.

ATM my cpu voltage is 1.46875
and cpu/nb voltage is deafult at : 1.3v should i lower it?
Dram voltage is at 1.65v which is what my manufacturer recommended

Im now on 1.075v and prime is runing at same time and i am 47 degrees what is :

All of these are defaults
SB voltage:1.10
VDDA voltage:2.50000v
Ht Voltage:1.27500v
NB1.8 voltage:1.80v

should i slowly lower these or are these dangerous?

Ok any lower than 1.06v i get bsod as soon as i press apply with 1.075 its all good so far would i need to run for a few hours or is a few mins enough

Everything is dangerous if you decide to change it!

There is a little headroom when overclocking your HTlink and CPUNB so I imagine you can undervolt them. I would stay well away until I was really happy with my CPU undervolting though. A little CPUNB overclock (in mhz) is meant to be quite healthy. I have never really tried it tbh.

If you can play with them in windows via software (I know I can't on my rig) then you can experiment but I have absolutely no idea how much energy it will save. If it involves changing the bios and having to remove the battery on a failed undervolt I would not bother.

1.075V is absolute nuts! I hope it stays stable. Try as many different stress tests as you can for as long as poss. 24hrs prime stable is the only recognised yardstick I have heard. A few hours and then a few hours of IBT should be reasonably stable. Make sure to vary the tests in prime to check everything although one is specific to stressing the CPU over the others; can't remember.

I'm no case/fan expert; the only way would be to experiment I suppose and get the facts. really need to sort out my cooling someday tbh.

Well my default was 1.175, so i went hey lets just drop to 1.1 and then i went to 1.075v and then i got a bit carried away and found myself clocked at 3.2ghz :S any idea on how to get back to defaults surprisingly my temps idling are still 43 degrees i dont know how accurate these programs are. I think ill go into bios and see if there is default button

So which one is it? You either say that your CPU voltage is 1.45 (which seems a bit high, but feasible), and then 1.175, which looks a bit too low - have they improved them so much? The least I can lower my 965 is 1.25V (at which it's now).

And yes, at the main bios window there'll be an option "Load optimized defaults" or similar.

My Sempron runs stably at 1.05V, so I reckon there's a reasonable chance that they can run a good sample X6 at 1.175 stock. I'm very impressed that it runs lower than that though...

Look up k10Stat. It's basically a manually controlled replacement for Cool 'n' Quet.

Alternatively PhenomMSRTweaker, which does the same sort of thing.

And I declare my undervolting quite successful and stable, no bsods at all played games on my integrated nfs hot pursuit and truck simulator ran prime for half four and ran burn test.

I think i might be able to just scrape 1.071875v but is it worth it would i see a 1 degree temp drop i dnt think so any lower is a no no. I think my temps are quite good considering that my case has no room to breath it is roughly the same temps i got when it was not under my desk. But that means i would have even got lower temps if i undervolted then but anyway should i lower any other setting ?

And the voltage is impressively low, can't believe they can be reduced as much.

Just like overclocking, I'd go for a variety of stability tests, including some longer ones. Have found that quite often I will get lock ups or BSODs several hours into a Prime95 Run. Likewise, I had this rig running 24 hours of Prime95 last week but it couldn't make it through 5 IBT runs on normal setting.

If it gets through initial stability tests, I'll go for 20x IBT on high and at least full loop on Prime95 Blend (full loop going through all FFT sizes takes under 12 hours but I tend to let it run longer, as I've had it go down on the 2nd loop).

S&M is very handy for checking the CPU-NB voltage (download link from here: http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...t-program.html). If it's not high enough S&M often just will not let you run its tests at all. The stress testing itself was great with Athlon X2s, showing up faults very quickly. Seems to be less good at finding problems with Phenom IIs (Prime95 and IBT show up errors faster if vCore is too low) but as an instant indicator of whether your CPU-NB voltage is too low, its very handy (don't worry about the 'can't start driver' message though).

@Queelis , that was not load that was after the test so temperatures dropped for a bit, if you look at the first pic you can see that cpu usage has dropped , and therefore temp dropped but at load its 43 degrees. I have a corsair h50 cooler and nzxt tempest case funnily enough i thought i was running quite hot, also i am running a 95w 1055t, a 965 is 125w would that not make a difference?

@Uriel, ok I will run further stability tests during the weekend, I will keep the voltage at 1.075 till then but i cant run it now because my mum turns all electrical devices off when i go to sleep.. :@ very annoying cant get anything done but I got my 6850 today so I will be gaming. Of and i didnt touch the cpu-nb voltage the guys at ocz recommended 1.3v for 1600mhz ram speed

UPDATE: While I was playing need for speed hot pursuit pc just crashed while i was drifting not bsod, raised the voltage to 1.1 because i REALLY wanted to play and cba with anymore crashes and it ran with no problems , I stopped playing and dropped it to 1.0875
