I've got some Sennheiser HD 25-SP, and they're awesome. To be honest they're a lot more atmospheric than my Logitech Z-680 speakers, although I think that I paid about £65 for the headphones when I picked them up a couple of years ago, which might be a tad expensive (if you don't think so then I'd advise going for the £100+ HD25 which have a better headband and only a single lead over the 25-SPs twin).

I don't know much bout the headsets. But as of headphones I have a clear favourite, and it's not Sennheiser. Grado is the real thing

I've listened to most of their prestige series, and they are all among the best for their price if you ask me. I own a pair of SR80s myself, believe they should cost like £80 or something in the UK (I live in Sweden so don't really know tho). Sound that precise can't be offered for any cans that I've heard, not even if you double the price. Though they have their cons aswell, they are far from comfortable, and the bass isn't that strong. But overall I believe it is the best you could ever get for the money.

You can check for their entry-level cans, SR60, might come quite close to your price. Listen to them or the SR80s if you get a chance.
Light travels faster than sound. Is this why some people appear bright until you hear them speak?

I've used Hifi Bitz a couple of times and they've always been fast and reliable. They don't sell any headphones with built-in mic though.

It really depends on your budget.. And what you will be running it on.

I was going for a Sennheiser, but I've learned that for their mid-end (and above) sets, you need to have a fairly powerful and clean source to make them worthwhile (i.e. Seperate amp). They do not have the strongest bass either from what I hear. Thats good for music, but I wouldn't mind a slight bass exageration for movies and games.

I was then recommended a Koss Porta Pro. It costs about £30, is clearly better than those cheap £10 headset and has a pretty solid bass for games and movies. The main downside IMO is its "funny" look. That and its a headphone, not a headset. Meaning no mic (I just attach one on my monitor for games).

decided against sennheiser by far the best no doubt but at £50 I cant warrant that sort of money so i think audio 90's have got it they are also mucg more readily available
