Yeah it would work mate, not sure what speed the PCIe slot is running at, for your graphics card, not sure if its a PCI-e 2.0 or not

Yeah, its a real bugger when motherboards only have 2 ram slots, well ok if your buying new ram I guess but if you have 4 sticks as I found myself once, can be a nightmare lol

    Good luck with your build

    Re: Need 775 Mb

not sure what that'll be like for overclocking it's a g965 chipset, which was ok but the board itself looks like one of the low end so may lack bios options and VRM to cope.
    Yes it's pci-e 1.2 not pci-e 2.0 but that's not a big issue for a single graphics card.

A p35 chipset board would be worth looking at.
There's a Abit ip35 Pro on auction currently at 99p +£6 postage atm

    Re: Need 775 Mb

a p35 chipset is a good one to go for as pob said, i currently have a ip35 pro and its a brilliant motherboard to work on

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Abit-IP35-Pro-...item43a589f199

currently at £20 delivered 9 hours to go... you can get a bargain on the old 775 chipsets now, should easily be under your budget at end

Hmm don't know about bargain. P35 through P45 board are holding their value well, due to the rareness and the high FSB.

Seen a few places with P41 Asrock board available, but not sure if they are worth £50 or not.

Not really they really lack on the overclocking and a p35 for around £20 2nd hand is a good buy

    Re: Need 775 Mb

Decent P35 boards are going for more like £35 though, not 20.

And I have just read some reviews about the P41chipset, seems to actually not too bad and will manage 400+
