New to the market... With a bang?
Well, it has two fans which are basically in series - that'll just make more noise. You want a fan on the bottom too, not one on either end.
I really can't see how that'll manage 600watts, unless it has the best heatsinks ever designed.
Add the PSU to the cart... Approx. cart weight 2Kg
Add the Antec 550W... Approx. cart weight 3.05Kg
Probably not going to cut it is it?
Have you tried a Tagan?Originally Posted by kez

Yeah. The heavier, the better. Made my wrist hurt trying to install my Thermaltake Weighs about ten times as much as my old one!!

I'd be interesting to see what would happen if the second fan was replaced with just a vent.Originally Posted by BUFF
It might be that the second fan helps direct airflow somewhat, but fans in series don't usually cool a great deal better than a single fan.
Since the PSU casing is acting as an air duct fans mounted at 90 degrees are also in series mounted each end of the same duct bend. Parallel would be two fans side by side at the back or on the bottom. Two fans is probably just a marketing ploy so they could charge a premium without adding much to the manufacturing cost. Maybe helps a little with air flow but nothing you couldn't sort with a few strategically placed perforations or turning vanes to eliminate any dead spots. Two fans is percieved to be better so that's what you have... with the word quiet thrown in for good measure. There is 600 watts and then there is 600 whats... this new PSU is probably the later.
Its still gonna be better than Qtec
600W - jeez.
where do you feed the coal in?!
Hmm, might buy one and review it - just to see what its really like
BTW - 600Watt PSUs do exist Enermax produce one, and going with there reputation (and the price) it really is 600Watt

I bet that gold enermax 600w weighs a ton. As with many things weight does equal quality.
I'm tempted to buy one - just to see how terrible they are...
Now go away before I taunt you a second time.
