Do we need more than 4GB?

I've only noticed my system use more than 4GB of RAM once.

I actually bought the other 4GB of RAM as a spare, since I got it fairly cheap, and then thought "what the hell, might as well chuck it in my machine". I wouldn't specifically fork out £50 to get 8GB of RAM over 4GB. And if I was going to fork out, I'd want 4GB modules.

I set one up once, using 2GB, NO idea what to do with it until i saw this - eeeenteresting!
