External HDD Recommendation.

I'm after a 1Tb External HDD with a USB 3 connection can anybody recommend a good make(s)?

I bought one of these DAS enclosures a few months ago:

It does not have USB3.0 but has USB2.0 and e-SATA. The enclosure also can take two disks and has a cooling fan for the hard disks too.

I have just brought one of these Western Digital My Passport Essential SE, http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1tb-w...-powered-black, I am very pleased with the speed of it, I don't use any of the software provided with it though, just Synctoy and drag&drop.

I'm beginning to think, that this sort of small external hard drive is the way to go even though it is more expensive. Simply because it is more usable. For media centres and suchlike.

One thing I'm curious about, does your hard drive use the new Micro USB cable?

Sorry, only logon once a week. The cable it uses has the normal usb connection to the pc and the new small B shaped connector to the actual drive.
