    New PSU?

    Hey there,

I've decided to upgrade my CPU to 2600k ... which means upgrading mobo, RAM, case, cooling xDD

    Proposed specs:

CPU : Intel 2600k (overclocked as high as possible. Hopefully to 5Ghz)
    mobo : asus p8p67 pro
    RAM : 4GB 1.5v
    GFX: GTX 275
    HDD: 3XSATA 7200RPM + external HDD
    1X DVD-RW
Watercooling with laing ddc pump, 3 high performance radiator fans
2 or 3 extra case fans

So i currently have a 3 year old 620W corsair PSU. Do u think this will be enough for the new system? I think a new 620W would probably do, but do u reckon the age will affect the performance considerably?

    Thanks

    Re: New PSU?

I would wait a few more weeks until fixed motherboards are sent out:

Your Corsair HX620W should still do the job IMHO.

Scan has the Antec TruePower New 650W for around £60 to £70 and this is a Seasonic made unit like the Corsair HX620W.

    Thanks for the reply.

Yeah I read about that :'(
I was looking forward to buying and building it this weekend :/ oh well.

I'll keep it for now then I guess if it fails on overclocking I can always get a new PSU.
