Firewire card not auto detecting on win7

Hello there. I bought "Belkin FIREWIRE/USB 2.0 PCI CARD" and am having trouble..
The USB ports work but when I try and use the firewire ports it doesn't auto detect the devices.
On device manger I see the firewire controller and under 'Imaging devices' it shows the camera I have connected to the firewire port however I can't use it at all.
When I plugged it in with windows xp it automaticly recognized it and came up in My Computer and a auto detect comes up asking what I want to open with (windows movie maker).

but windows 7 doesn't have the registry entry they advise to edit?
