Thinking of venturing into the world of SSDs

Been doing some thinking lately and as i may have a few components coming soon, i've been getting tempted to finally make the switch from XP over to Win7, and get myself a nice SSD to go with it.

Last i checked, the 60gb OCZ Vertex 2E was the budget starter SSD of choice. Just wondering is this still the case?

It's certainly remains a good option, as does the Intel X25-M G2 drive. Anything with a Sandforce controller is also be worth a look too and the next gen of SSDs (intels G3 and Vertex 3) are due out later this year are forecast to make massive performance gains.

I'm sure there are a new range of SSD's coming out soon, I would personally wait.
