    Windows 7 or XP?

Well, since i built my computer back in November ive been having problems with Windows 7, well i think its Windows 7
Event ID 41 is the problem, from my knowledge this problem doesnt 'exist' in windows xp.
So is it worth downgrading to XP to fix the problem?
Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit BTW

"Event ID 41" may not exist in XP, but that doesn't mean the problem will go away, you will probably just get another problem you need to diagnose.

    No, that would be crazy.

Have you reinstalled Windows 7 since November?

    Re: Windows 7 or XP?

7 is awesome so stick with that

Windows Kernel event ID 41 error in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2: “The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first”

found the above on the net, so the prob is some thing windows is not happy about.

try system restore or "repair" on win 7 and see how far that get you

    Re: Windows 7 or XP?

"Event ID 41" isn't a specific problem. it just means for whatever reason your pc has crashed without a bsod.
this could be caused by hardware drivers or well any no of things really.
though u wont see "Event ID 41" in xp u may still see crashes if its a hardware fault.
if its down to software reinstalling windows and doing drivers, apps one at a time would find the culprit.
or likely even fix the issue altogether.

Edit: This is what microsoft say about it
