    Reccomendations for a gaming mouse

I need a new Mouse. The missus bought me a Saitek Cyborg in September (to stop me from backing out of an OP) Anyway initially it was fine but i wasn't really doing much gaming on it anyway. Then i had my Accident End of oct/Nov on my bike and hurt my arms, Anyway the point to all this is I cant game with this mouse for more than half hour without getting pains and cramps it's just not right for me so i need to shift this on and find something better.

    Needs to include the following.
    at least 2000 dpi
    a cable is optional.
Buttons not too many on the sides and defintely none on the outside.
Be of a good size i used to have a Logitech G5 and that was pretty comfortable,
    Cost no more than £40
and if possible it needs to have the ability to move a cursor on my screen

    Cheers for your help guys

I can personally recommend the Razer Deathadder:

    There's a southpaw edition too.

Seen recently on another forum that the cheap G500s from Amazon weren't in great condition (marked paintwork, scratches on the underneath) sounded like b-grade stock to me although they were sold as new.

A4Tech mice are good, well built good quality, however I'm pretty sure this one suffers from the same issue my X-750BF did, namely loads of speed settings 600-2500dpi however you cycle between them, which means you can quickly jump up a speed notch but if you want to reduce the dpi for less twitchy movement you just cannot do it on-the -fly in the middle of the action.

I'd say also consider the position of your arm, and your back.
Also the shape of your hands and how you hold a mouse effects the best mouse shape for you.

Re: Reccomendations for a gaming mouse

i went from an MX518 (about 5 or 6 years of service) to a G500 and its awesome, change wasn't massive but it was enough for me to feel good about my purchase.

Would definitely come with my recommendation but im a bit of a Logitech fanboy.

I tried the cyborg rat 5 as it was desigend for gaming but i hold my main finger over left mouse button and my second finger over the right mouse button which means my thrid finger rests just over the edge of the mouse on the plastic edge of the side gripand its really uncomfortable. Heres a pic to show what i mean

My hands just too big for it i think.
