Help, [Intel] MSI P4N DIAMOND Problems

I have problems with the p4n diamond that i bought today. First of all the motherboard is great this isnt a post about ranting I just would like some assitance to fix my problems

I cannot get the cpu and memory at 1:1 it is always at 5:4 to the cpu. If I try 1:1 I get blank screen and have to reset cmos (really good idea though having cmos as a button )

Overclocking, I am an avid overclocker and it seems that the memory has problems with anything over 500mhz (memory fsb).

I have managed 4.4ghz rock stable but with a 7:4 divider because anything else is unstable.

This is a fresh install of windows xp. It isnt any of my other components like my memory/graphics. Isnt a cooling issue because Im water cooling the cpu. Could someone help me find out what is wrong?

    Specs,
    LGA775 Pentium 4 660 3.6Ghz
    MSI P4N Diamond-SLi
    Corsair TwinX 1024mb XMS2 PC5400UL 3-2-2-8
    Enermax 600W Noisetaker SLi
    MSI PCI-E NX6600GT
    Corsair "cool" Water Cooling Kit
    ThermalTake Armor Silver Aluminium

    Highest OC

Unless you're cooling your Corsair with water as well you're not going to get much better performance. Are you cooling the memory with anything? How's the airflow through your case?

Airflow is great using a thermaltake armor case.

Cooling is corsair cool water cooling kit. The main problem is I can't even be at 1:1 without an overclock and I should be able to at least do that.

I emailed MSI and this is the reply I got.

    Dear Lorenzo,

Thank you for contacting MSI Technical Support.

As your memory is PC5400 DDR2 667, its frequency is very high. When you set CPU and memory synchronization (you get CPU and memory at 1:1) in BIOS, CPU (it could not work at FSB1332 [667/2) and other peripherals could not bear to such overclocking. We suggest you let CPU and memory work at 5: 4 to get stable performance. After all, stable PC performance is most important.

The overclocking ability is much related with your hardware configurations. There are several methods you could overclock, we list them below for your reference.

    I) MSI software "Core Center" , you can try to download from the link: http://www.msi.com.tw/program/suppor...ist.php?kind=1 . In the left sub-menu, when you choose "Auto", it would start testing the maximal CPU overclocking level. The CPU FSB will automatically increase untill the PC reboots. After reboot, CPU would run at the maximal value. You could also click "default" to restore the default value.

II) Manually overclock in BIOS. You can adjust the CPU FSB Frequency (System Clock Mode) and the CPU Voltage little by little for stable performance.

Thank you for supporting MSI product. Please feel free to let us know if you still have any further issues or inquiries.

    Best regards,

    MSI Technical Support
