blury screen on new htpc build

Hi. i am trying to manually input a refresh rate on my EVGA 260gtx but it wont allow me to do so. i can only select 60mhz on 720p res. i believe this is the issue to the blury image i am having on screen.

my tv which is connected using vga and a vga to dvi adapter wont allow me to select 59mhz which is the correct refresh rate of my tv.

Any advice on how i can fix this issue? i cant take print screens because when i post them they come out fine.

i know my gpu is fine because i tested it on my pc monitor using the same cable and the text and everything onscreen is clear as it should be but not my my hdtv which is one of the first hdtv's to have come out so doesnt have a HDMI socket. just a vga one.

rest of the specs of my htpc is 1156 core i5 processor, 1tb hdd, 600w seasonic psu, 2gb of ddr3 ram and p7p55 lx mobo.

    tv is a warfedale LCD3210AF

    thanks in advance.

When you say 720p resolution, are you actually using 1280x720 resolution, or have you gone with your TVs native approximation of 1366x768?

i tried 1366x768? and its a tiny bit clearer but the text is fuzzy and can see something "moving" around the txt. like a crackling kind of animation/look. difficult to explain but when watching vidoes its fine. just reading text is a nightmare
