    Which case, sub £50 ?

As the title says, anybody recommend a case sub £50, must be able to take an ATX mobo.

What its for and what do you want to put in it?

Some good general case are Antec 200 & 300. Can't go wrong with them.
I'm bias but i think I'd go for the Coolermaster HAF 912 Plus

They have some awesome deals on the today only page, for CASE & PSU, i'd picka case and just check the reviews

They change at about lunch time so get in quick

It's a tad over budget (£55ish) but the Coolermaster Sileo may be worth a look; very quiet with reasonable cooling, and a bit more refined looking if mesh and LEDs aren't your thing.

+1 for the 300. it's very good for the price.

Among the cheap cases it might be the best choice if you like the design.

I quite like the Silverstone PS05B for £40. Seems to do everything needed but cable management isnt the best.
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/silve...su-best-seller

Lancool K58 for £55. I know its £5 over but its worth a look.
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/lian-...g-case-w-o-psu

Im sure pob mentioned in a build thread about a new casecom case from ebuyer to replace the Casecom 6788 but I carnt find the thread at the moment but heres the link to the 6788.
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/172779

Just watch the width of the case if you have or are plan to get a large CPU cooler. Everyone will suggest somthing different as well

Re: Which case, sub £50 ?

As cheapy mentioned, there's the casecoms much beloved of Pob (and myself, tbh): built into one about a year ago and it was every bit as good as some of the premium cases (Antec Sonata, for example) I've used in the past. There's a lot of versions available at the minute for ~ £28 - £30: here's a relatively plain one with blue led fan; but all of these cases (except the MA-1188) appear to have basically the same internal layout (bottom-mounted PSU, plenty of fan mounts, toolless drive bays etc.)

Pob255 recommended one of these Casecom cases recently:

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/239238

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/239240

Both cases come with both a 120MM and 140MM fan for around £30.

What's the verdict on this case? http://www.scan.co.uk/products/coole...r-case-w-o-psu - I've heard it's very good for the money, and it looks pretty sweet.

Re: Which case, sub £50 ?

If you can get over the looks the case is fantastic. I have built using one and it was a pleasure to work with with massive airflow.

    nzxt-m59-classic-series

The elite seems to be a solid buy case, I was going to get one for the build but got the m59 cheaper.

One with more convential looks and again huge airflow.

Re: Which case, sub £50 ?

Another vote for the antec 300 if you aren't concerned about noise - mesh fronts do nothing to stop noise getting out. It's a very sturdy case with good airflow though, and the side panels can be swapped over for cleaner airflow or lower noise!

If you want something quiet then look at cases like this Antec Sonata Proto which seems a lot quieter but won't have nearly as good cooling.

For what it's worth I have set up my antec 300 like this:
    e5200 OCed from 2.5 to 3.5ghz
1x 1000rpm CPU fan on coolermaster hyper 212
    1x 1000rpm exhaust fan
no intakes, top fan and side fan blocked off
Folding 24/7 the CPU sits at 51 degrees.
