dell xps 15 web cam with skype issues

Hi. I recieved my xps 15 a few days ago and I reinstalled windows 7 with my own disk to remove all the crapware from.dell. so anyways I left my laptop on all.night with video cam and Skype on and about 40mins later I notice the web cam.stopped working. No web cam light indicator pops on anymore andc it never turns on from skypes video settings or when I make a video call

Any advice? Thanks in advance.

What does the hardware manager say ?

nothing. no unkown device errors. like i said. it was working fine before

Does the camera appear as one of the listed devices ?

i need to double check in device manager but in skype it is listed

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Power off, battery out, leave for few minutes, retry?

Or did you manage to hit a FN+Key combo to disable it?

umm this is weird. came back to the hotel. turned on my laptop. tried skype and my web cam works!! strange
