Phenom II X3 705e = £50+ for the cpu, that was one of the best low power phenomII wasn't it?
4GB Crucial SO-DIMM DDR2 RAM = not much £20
Corsair X32 SSD = £30-40 would make a nice laptop drive.

EDIT: Here's a crazy idea, keep hold of it, in the 3 years you'll be at uni the demands of TV and music are not going to radically change and make it out of date in the next 3 years.
