Raid Question!

I am running two raptors in a raid 0 array, I set the strip size to 16K But they benchmark crapy at around 65 meg/sec. Sandra says they should be at 90-100!

Could the strip size be effecting performance?
What size should I use?

I think a 64K block size is the accepted best for general use.

Iam getting a Sisoft Sandra drive index of 75MB/s with my 7.2Krpm WD Caviars on Highpoint HPT372 Raid controller with a 64K stripe. So you should be getting a lot better than that with your Raptors

Try HD tach on it. My (rather strange) HD tach results are in this thread. .
