    highpoint rocket raid 620 controller card sata 6gb

    Hi Forum anyone used one of these and do they know if its compatible with asus maximus extreme and crucial c300,

    i would like to raid 0 these instead of using the intel or marvell chips for my main os drives,

    It is compatable with both, but if using with 2x C300s each with 365MB/s read speed, ideally you would be looking for a PCI-e x4, as with the x1 you will be limited 500MB/s, instead of the 750+MB/s you could potentially get. It is a big price increase up to the x4 controllers though, over £100 if my memory serves me correctly.
