How hot is Too Hot ?

After a bout of FPSing my temps (according to Hardware Sensors Monitor 4.5) were :-

    Mainboard 39
    CPU 50
    HDD 34
    GPU 45

Is that OK, or do I need to worry about some more cooling ? My system is quite quite (which makes a pleasant change from my previous one) and I'm not too keep to return to it sounding like a hairdryer.

I haven't found a monitoring package that does everything I want. I use RealTemp for the CPU.
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

Re: How hot is Too Hot ?

I haven't seen any difference in reported temperatures by Speedfan and CoreTemp, so I guess they're both ok.

    And GPU-Z for GPU temps.

Really coretemp shows 10C hotter than speedfan for me (Q6600). I suppose it depends what tjunction they have set though.

Hardware monitor is quite good for getting gpu, cpu and hard drive temps etc its made the people who make CPUZ. I remember realtemp being more accurate at getting temps for the Core 2s is still the same with the Core i's?

I don;t believe it is an issue. The temp reported should be the same regardless of the software you use on a Core iX system.

Yeah I really like that software. It's just so simple - a "why would you want more" situation.
