I think it supports all the s775 cpus. Its more a matter of cost really, like is paying £30 more for a q6600 over an e6600 worth it. I know its pennies really but my friends budget is pretty shot.

Its a sticky situation, and IMO, i would say its worth the extra outlay. At stock it will handle all games fine, overclocked the Q6600's really are something special. Getting a faster Core 2 Duo would be something of a sideways upgrade, at least with the Q6600 you're getting more cores etc and a decent bit of future-proofing.
The Q6600 will probably have a lot more life in it before it would be bottlenecking the GPU as opposed to a dual-core.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Thankyou for your input, I will try to persuade him to stretch to a Q6600 as I think you are right this will last him much longer, i mean jeez it still outperforms my core unlocked x3 450 in some benchmarks and thats much newer.
