    Memory upgrade

Hey guys, a very quick question regarding my RAM

I've recently decided i'm gonna upgrade to a comfortable 8GB of RAM for my more memory hungry applications and to speed up the rendering process.

    I currently have a 4gb kit of Corsair (DDR3 1600MHz/PC3-12800 XMS3 Dominator Memory CL9 (9-9-9-24)).

I'm looking for something a little more low profile to fit under my coolermaster v6 cpu cooler as the heatsink fins on the dominator memory kind of get in the way.

Am i alright to get different memory, and if so what do i need to take into consideration when matching it with my old kit?

It is also worth thinking about Which OS you will be running on the computer.

Remember that you will have to be running a 64Bit OS for it to see all the ram

    Rig specs is as follows:

    Windows 7 64bit
    Asrock 880g extreme3
AMD PhenomII x6 1055t (clock speeds for now)
    MSI FrozrII GTX 580 OC
    4gb Corsair Dominator 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 DDR3

    Re: Memory upgrade

You could use some Corsair 2x4GB XMS3 2000MHz, it's low profile without extra protruded heatsink.
