Silent keyboard + mouse:help:
Hi, I'm looking for silent keyboard. My pc is in the bedroom. Sometimes I need to work quite late, even til morning. My wife is complaining all about the typing and clicking mouse, yes, a silent mouse as well. Hopefully, this would not cost a fortune. budget below £50 for both?
:help:
Re: Silent keyboard + mouse:help:
A few years ago I was looking to get a quiet keyboard for the wife.
I found one which i think was made by fujitsu but it wasnt cheap something
like 80 quid. However that was in Japan and a few years ago, but I think
at the time I found it for sale in the UK online in a few places.
Hopefully I will get time to go to yodobashi in the next few weeks and see
if they still have something similar or see if there are any very quiet ones.
Also hopefully the same thing is available in the UK

For the mouse:

Anything for a quiet keyboard guides me to a mechanical button keyboard, but those are very expensive, so can't help you there.

Cheers. I'll try to see if I can find it. What's the model?

I know the mouse, but review said the scrolling wheel is loud so try to see if there's alternative. I never use a mechanical keyboard before and yes it is very pricey.

Awful to type on though, rubbbery keys are not my thing.
Re: Silent keyboard + mouse:help:
I dont remember the model number having a quick search the name libertouch
sounded familiar. Also from the search people were talking about a keyboard
called realforce.
Here are some vids of the libertouch

doesnt seem to be for sale in the uk now though...
maybe worth asking below if they know of any cheaper reasonably quiet keyboards.

Re: Silent keyboard + mouse:help:
Well I went and tested loads of keyboards and well none of them were really that quiet. The well expensive mechanical ones were not significantly quieter. Both the real force, libertouch and some other ones quietness wise didnt seem particularly better than some for around a tenner.
Re: Silent keyboard + mouse:help:
I am yet to encounter a keyboard or mouse that could be considered "silent"... quieter than others maybe, but in a bedroom late at night I doubt it'd be good enough.
Spend a bit on a mechanical action rather than the rubber layer keyboards and it might be quieter, as for a silent mouse, how about using a touchpad and tapping for click?
Re: Silent keyboard + mouse:help:
Mechanical keyboards are loud as hell aren't they? Because they have truly moving parts that click? I would have thought typing on rubberised everything would be a fair bit quieter.
