Problem Win XP + CDRW

I have installed Easy Media Creator 7 on my PC with Win XP updated as per MS recommondations scan update on MS web site.

I have problems getting EMC7 recognize my CD-RW LaCie (LITE-ON LTR-52246S) 52X24X52.
First , I thought it could my USB 2.0 CardBus , but the problem persists even when the writer is logged through the USB1.1 input.
Mainly, the problem is that I got a blue screen with the following error:

STOP 0X0000007F(0X00000008, 0X80042000, 0X00000000, 0X00000000).

and the PC has to reboot again by itself.

It happens everytime I connect my CD-RW to the laptope and/or I open the garage door after connecting it.

Any idea that can help me please , would be appreciated.
