    New Case

I still have my Antec SLK3800B-UK which has been big enough for me, however, with my recent upgrade, the GPU is so long that is covers two of the five internal 3.5" bays and I no longer have room inside my case for my 4th HDD. I don't really want to go the route of setting one of the drives up as an external drive or mess about with 5.25" to 3.5" bays, so I would like to get a new case.

I would like a black case with black internals (so not just painted on the outside), something big enough to hold my new GTX 560 Ti and have enough room for at least 4 HDD's, preferably holding the PSU at the top of the case and a few ports at the front for USB. I would like a reputable brand and favour Antec cases.

Anyone have any ideas? Budget, about £50-80.

    Antec Sonata Proto or Elite?

Or, if you can get over your "reputable brand" point and take a personal recommendation, one of the new Casecoms which are *very* well built (particularly at that price point). Only downside to those is they all have a bottom-mounted PSU...

BitFenix Colossus Monolith Black? Scan have them cheap and you can buy the windowed side panel separate if you wish to.

    Re: New Case

    Have you considered Corsair cases?

plenty of room inside even in the smallest 600T. excellent build quality and features.

I think they are a lot better than almost anything on the market atm.

edit: why do you need a top mounted PSU?

    Re: New Case

Well some people do prefer it and he might have an older psu with short cables.
Some of the older and smaller bottom mounted psu cases do have cabling issues due to the lower psu, the 4/8pin atx/eps connector being a big issue.

The 600T is very nice for cabling, with holes in the right place (holes in the right place is better than lots of holes in the wrong place) and a lot of room behind the motherboard (again nice to have holes, but not if the clearance behind the motherboard tray is small)
However the cost is very high.

So I'd agree with PaulM on the HAF 912 it's the same internal size as the corsair 600T but half the cost.
Don't like the look of the HAF? then how about the new Strom Enforcer http://www.ebuyer.com/product/262675 it's the same case just with a different front bezel and side panel.

Also the new NZXT H2 http://www.scan.co.uk/products/nzxt-...r-black-no-psu it's a bit pricey however it too has a lot of space behind the motherboard tray to hide cables.
You will have to remove 2 or 3 hard drive trays to fit a long card but it does take 8 in total so you'll not be short.

Or how about the new Fractal design Arc http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/...pid-13090.html again a bit pricey at £90 and not actually out yet (end of the month)
Extra case width means bigger 140mm fans for better/quieter air flow and more space for cable management.

    Re: New Case

Some quite nice ideas there, thanks all.

I think it might be a good idea to go to somewhere like YoYo Tech (as I work not far away) and see if they have anything on display I like the look of.
