is this the best CPU cooler - Scythe Susanoo
Re: is this the best CPU cooler - Scythe Susanoo
You have to define what you mean by "best". That is probably really heavy and expensive. Plus watercooling with a triple rad or even a dual maybe would give better cooling. Cost is also an issue.
But looking at "best" from a purely really really call it in a ridiculous way and most like to snap your motherboard ... yea it is comfortably the best lol.
Re: is this the best CPU cooler - Scythe Susanoo
Am talking about is this the best air cooler that produces the lowest temps :) - am not comparing it to water cooling as that would be better with Hi-end stuff
Re: is this the best CPU cooler - Scythe Susanoo
You could probably add a few kilos of metal to it and improve it a bit more.
Re: is this the best CPU cooler - Scythe Susanoo
Looks like you'd need to run the PC with the side panel off anyway, doesn't look like the case would close properly.
Re: is this the best CPU cooler - Scythe Susanoo
Apprently its not as high as you think so should be ok for your case side panel to shut, all tho it will know dount depend on the case :)
Re: is this the best CPU cooler - Scythe Susanoo
getting around the weight issue is easy

But dear god that's truly massive!
How about this, remove the fans and finally we've got a reason for the Xcilo Propeller case to exist http://www.xclio.com/products/case-p...er.htm#details
Re: is this the best CPU cooler - Scythe Susanoo
With such a large surface area, one should be able to run one of those without fans, thus getting a very silent CPU cooler - no?
Re: is this the best CPU cooler - Scythe Susanoo
That really is ludicrous, it looks like its just big for the sake of being big, i cant see it performing much if any better than much more sensible AIO water options such as the Antec Kuhler or the H60/H80.
Re: is this the best CPU cooler - Scythe Susanoo
bit stupid, it'd be better of with one large fan. Larger fans produce less noise for shifting the same amount of air.
Volume of a fan/turbine is proportional to a power of 5 of it's speed!

I'd like to see someone shoe-horn 2 of them onto an SMP board ;)

True for a case fan, but static pressure is more important on a cpu cooler.
Re: is this the best CPU cooler - Scythe Susanoo
why not just run the computer in the arctic?
Re: is this the best CPU cooler - Scythe Susanoo
Some good comments out there in the wilds.
Apparently it also comes with an attachment for emergency cooling of a Fiat 500.

Pessimistically - It'd screw up your airflow and take too much space :(
Optimistically - It'd screw up your airflow and take too much space :)
Trollishly - It looks awesome - Buy it.
Humorishly - I've seen smaller radiators on a truck.
Midlandishly - Oh mar gud man, its loyke me nans fridge init.
Americanishly - MOAR FANZ AND LEDS!
Mormonly - What is it?
Cat-The-Fifth-ishly - This is an ineffecient deisgn and would put additional strain on the motherboard bracket and pump warm air onto your motherboard. A more efficient cooler is the Cooler Master V10 which is supported so as not to strain the motherboard and pumps any warm air of of the side of your case.
