Some new info about the Dell U2311H

I have a U2311 and I use it for gaming. It's better than my old LG 22" "gaming" monitor with 2ms response simply because the image quality is so much better. The LG uses dithering to get 16 million colours and it's really noticable.

Reading around the ghosting isnt meant to be an issue. Managed to find this video on youtube showing it gaming if thats any help.

Yeah i saw that but I mainly play FPS and ghosting is really bad thing to have in fps. Im not sure the camera would be fast enough to pick up hte ghosting either and especially from the distance used. Im now leaning towars getting a 120mhz monitor for my gaming use.

If it uses dithering, it is combined with FRC (which the LG certainly does not use) in a well anough way that it's invisible.
The dithering on the LG is clearly visible and I cannot see any on this monitor. Gradient tests all come out smooth as well.

The LG should use FRC - that's the only dithering method that's found on monitors these days. (Pixel alternates between colours in different frames to produce the effect of the inbetween colour)

Well just bought a U2311 off aria. I missed the 199.99 deal but rang them up and they sold it to me for that price so happy enough.
